\u201cT\u00fa, yo y el horizonte\u201d (\u201cYou, I, and the horizon\u201d) is the art piece that we Sanserif Creatius have selected from the exhibition \u201cEspot xafar la l\u00ednia\u201d (loosely meaning \u201cYou can cross the line\u201d), which opens its doors today in Museo Valenciano de la Ilustraci\u00f3n y de la Modernidad (Valencian Museum of Illustration and Modernity).<\/p>\n
In the same way that the horizon draws a line between the sky and the sea, typographical baselines frame the font and turn it into a pause between two different worlds. It is only the eagerness to learn and discover that drives the designer to trespass these imaginary lines and rise up to the sky, like a bird. Or rather plunge into the deepness of the ocean that is the paper. Such traces that move in opposite directions are soulmates that will never meet.<\/p>\n
Lovers that are forced to live separately and that will never exist in the same space, even if they share a same origin. Like the sun and the moon. Like the bird and the fish, inhabitants of the same world, but forced to an impossible love.<\/p>\n
The exhibition is curated by Bego\u00f1a Jord\u00e1 and Jos\u00e9 Armijo from the M\u00e1ster en Artes Gr\u00e1ficas (Master Studies in Graphic Arts) in ETS de Ingenier\u00eda del Dise\u00f1o (Higher Technical School of Design Engineering) from university Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Val\u00e8ncia (UPV).<\/p>\n
