Sanserif Creatiu’s Pallet clock in The Hub

If like me you’ve ever wondered why as a modern design-led society we don’t recycle and utilise our resources more efficiently, then you’ll be pleased to learn that a team of Spanish designers are doing just this and have introduced an ecological way of telling the time. Valencia based design company, Sanserif Creatius have unveiled a brand new ecologically sustainable, contemporary design led clock, created by rejuvenating an old wooden pallet, giving this commonly discarded object a new purpose – and most importantly saving it from landfill.

This pioneering industrial clock is a design which incorporates Sanserif Creatius’ company values for sustainable growth and the reutilisation of wasted materials in new creations. Produced with no carbon emissions or bi-products the eco clock has been varnished with natural waxes to age the wood, and with the simple addition of classical gold hands the industrial time piece is complete.

Next time you’re out walking around your neighbourhood have a look and see what you can recycle and re-invent from your surroundings.
